NEWS : Third Q 2007
- Brown & Caldwell, an environmental engineering and consulting firm with 45 offices throughout the US, has selected Bryer Architects to design their new offices in Middleborough, MA. The 15,000 sq. ft. space will house the local office of a firm known for its legacy of environmental stewardship. Brown & Caldwell has begun its 60th year with a commitment to deliver sustainable, economically efficient solutions to complex environmental problems.
- Bryer Architects is working on several projects for Berklee College of Music, principally the new studios for Berklee Internet Radio. The design of the facility includes a broadcast booth, live room, and production studio. IAC America is providing technical consulting in the design and production of the sound-control areas. The General Contractor for the project is Columbia Construction Corporation.
- Construction has been completed on The David Ellenbogen Center for Health Sciences Education, which was developed by Hologic, Inc. as an independent learning center for health care clinicians. The 14,500 sq. ft. center, designed by Bryer Architects, offers courses developed to provide health sciences practitioners an opportunity to learn in didactic and hands-on sessions utilizing the most advanced technology and equipment in women’s health care.
- Construction has recently been completed on the new 15,000 sq. ft. office headquarters for Arthur Blank & Company in Boston, MA. The company, which recently became a division of the American Banknote Corporation, is the largest producer of private label plastic cards in North America. The Kaplan Corporation was the General Contractor for the project.
- The Marcus Organization has selected Bryer Architects to assist with site development, permitting, and to serve as design liaison for a proposed project at 51 McGrath Highway, Somerville, MA. The project includes a new three-story 28,800 sq. ft. building adjacent to the existing Charles Webb building, which also will be renovated. The project is presently in the Special Permit with the Site Review (SPSR) process with the city of Somerville.
- Construction has been completed on the Kendall Square office of Cambridge Consultants. The 11,200 sq. ft. office space was designed for an international company which creates and licenses intellectual property, provides business consulting on critical technology issues, and develops innovative products for clients in a number of industries. The General Contractor for the project was Columbia Construction Corporation.
- Additional office projects were recently completed for Voxware and Panel Intelligence at 150 CambridgePark Drive, Cambridge, MA and The Bridgespan Group at 535 Boylston Street, Boston, MA.
